Does Speedify work with Netflix?
Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Disney+ and others all have specific licensing agreements for each territory and therefore stringently block tools like VPNs that could potentially be used to access their content from abroad.
In the past, the only reliable way to enjoy your Netflix content was to disconnect from the VPN – leaving you unprotected online. Speedify’s new approach puts an end to the cat-and-mouse game allowing you to watch all your favorite shows uninhibited while keeping the rest of your online activity protected!
How Speedify's Streaming Bypass Works
With Streaming Bypass enabled, your computer or mobile device will connect directly to trusted streaming service providers while keeping the rest of your online activity safe and encrypted behind the VPN.
How to Enable Streaming Bypass
On Android, Streaming Bypass is on at all times and the setting is not available in the settings. If you are using an iOS device please follow the steps below:
- When Speedify’s smart engine detects a request to connect to one of the trusted streaming service providers, it will send a notification to you. You will be asked if you want to enable Streaming Bypass for that service.
- If you accept, the traffic to and from your device to that particular service will begin bypassing the VPN. The rest of your online activity will remain encrypted behind the VPN.
- You can enable or disable the bypass for each service at any time by visiting the Streaming Bypass menu inside of Settings. For Android users, this setting is turned on by default.
