Using the Speedify Android Widget

Speedify for Android includes a dashboard widget that gives you an easily-accessible on/off switch. It also lets you see whether you're connected and which Speed Server you're using.

How to add the Speedify widget for Android

We're assuming you already have the Speedify app installed on your Android smartphone (running v.5 Lollipop or newer). To add the Speedify widget for Android, you have two options:

A. Adding the Speedify widget for Android through the home screen

  1. Long press a blank space on your smartphone's home screen. A menu will pop up. 

  2. Touch the Widgets option and scroll to find Speedify.

  3. Once you find the Speedify Dashboard widget, hold your finger on it and drag the widget to the space on the home screen where you'd like to place it. Then release your finger to drop it.

B. Adding the Speedify widget for Android through the apps screen

  1. Go to the apps list screen on your smartphone. Then scroll to find Speedify.

  2. Once you find the Speedify Dashboard widget, hold your finger on it. Above it, you should see 2 tabs: Widgets and App Info.

  3.  The widget should appear below. Drag the widget to the space on the home screen where you'd like to place it. Then release your finger to drop it.

How to use the Speedify widget for Android

You can use your Speedify widget to see information about your connection. Just press the button on the widget to connect or disconnect Speedify. The app will default to the last settings used.

How to remove the Speedify widget for Android

To remove the Speedify widget for Android from your home screen, long press it and drag it over the Remove area in the top of the screen. Speedify will not be uninstalled from your smartphone; this will only eliminate the widget from the home screen. You will be able to add it again whenever you like.
